Magazines have been writing a lot about fertility and the incontrovertible fact that more and more women are choosing to start a family in their 30’s or forty’s. Ladies nowadays are highly likely to have a high flying career and be considering city trips, shoe shopping and sports cars, and a lot less about Mothercare, changing diapers, and pushing buggies.

The average age for giving birth in the UK is going up about two months every year. The average age in 2007 was 29.3 years compared with 28.6 years in 2001. Statistics show that the average lady under thirty will get pregnant within the first 6 months and those in their early thirty’s may take up to and longer than nine months. From 35 onwards it might take one year.

Some girls are spending a lot of money trying to increase their possibilities of conceiving naturally, but this should be a nonessential expense. Lord Robert Winston, pioneer of IVF treatment, informed the Daily Mail that girls who freeze their eggs to delay maternity are being given fake hopes by fertility clinics. He goes on to claim that this does not in any way guarantee that a ladies will become pregnant or go on to have a healthy baby.

So without ditching the thrilling lifestyle what can you do to help turbo-charge your wellbeing for that ‘maybe baby’ stage? Being healthy is far easier than you might think. Here are a few tips

For her :

Iron

Most ladies recognize iron as a vital mineral for good health. In spite of this data, iron deficiency is regarded the commonest nutritive deficiency and the most influenced group are ladies of child bearing age. Studies have shown that even delicate inadequacies of iron are linked to reduced fertility. It would seem that a deficiency of iron may play a role in ovulatory dysfunction. Take daily Iron additions ( look for non-constipating form )

Essential trans acids

The force on girls to stay slim has lead to many women adopting awfully fat free diets. Sadly, this pattern of eating is related to a decline in fertility. The necessary trans acids ( found in nuts, seeds and oily fish ) have many functions across the body, including balancing the hormones concerned in fertility. Try Omega 3-6-9 capsules with a mix of prime quality fish, flax and borage oil.

Multivitamin and mineral formula

A multivitamin and mineral formula has for some time been regarded as a measure for general wellness and as health insurance. Studies now suggest that a multivitamin formula may also be beneficial for maintaining fertility in ladies. Studies in the latter 90s proved that girls who frequently took a multivitamin formula, were less sure to be infertile due to ovulatory failure than those who did not. Similarly, the more frequent and regular the supplements were taken, the better the results .

Try Solgar’s Female Multivitamin & Mineral complex

Vitamin D3

Vitamin D3 ( sometimes called the sunshine vitamin ) could augment the fertility of girls afflicted with ovulation Problems. One in 5 women suffer with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome ( PCOS ) and can have a lesser chance of conception at a later age. Researchers at Yale school college of medication ( 2008 ) concluded ladies with ovulation problems or PCOS were much more sure to be low in vitamin D.

Try 1000iu D3 supplement

For him :

Your other half should be thinking along the same lines as you when it comes to living healthily. Sperm count and motility plays a very important part in the act of attempting to become pregnant. Why do all of the hard work when your better half plays an equal part in the act of conception? Recent figures ( from Norwich Union health-care in 2005 ) show that 2.5 million men suffer with barrenness in the United Kingdom. Male infertility may account for as much as a 3rd of Problems with conception so it is important that your man takes similar steps to you to keep himself and his sperm in tip top health.

Zinc

Zinc is clearly one of the most vital nutrients needed for fertility, particularly for men. Studies show that a low zinc intake corresponds with a low sperm count and poor sperm motility.

Vitamin C

As an antioxidant, vitamin C is critical for good health. For men, this nutrient plays a specific role in augmenting fertility. Research has shown that vitamin C may help to reduce the clumping together of sperm and therefore enhances sperm motility. Additionally, vitamin C usually reinforces sperm quality and protects the DNA contained inside it from damage.

Solgar abc dophilus is a new nutritional supplement for children. It promotes healthy bacteria in the large intestine according to company information. Ask your pediatrician if it is right for your child. Infant nutrition has developed greatly over the years. Many years ago mothers had to prepare their own formula. Now they can buy it ready to feed in the can. Or they can buy it in powder form. Solgar abc dophilus comes in powder form and can be added to your child’s beverage. It is easier than making your own infant formula.

That is where the name formula came from; moms had to formulate their baby’s milk. Now you can buy it ready to use in a can. Solgar abc dophilus comes in powder form. You can even mix it in infant formula. You can mix it in juice or any beverage your child drinks. Many breakthroughs in infant nutrition have been made in the last hundred years.

This was a big breakthrough in the mid twentieth century because anemia was a big concern with newborns. Anemia in the first year of life can have long lasting effects. Some doctors still recommend low iron formula but most recommend infant formula fortifies with iron beginnig with the infants first day of life. You want to consult with your pediatrician about Solgar abc dophilus before giving it to your newborn.

In fact no matter your child’s age ask you doctor about whether or not to use sogar abc dophilus. Some children have an allergy to milk. These children can drink a soy base infant formula and have the same growth pattern as children that grow up on a cow based formula. It is interesting to note that infant formula, not the soy based type of course, is cow based milk. It is treated and denatured and the ingredients are added to make up what we know is infant formula. It is important never to feed a newborn baby straight cow milk however because this can cause enteric blood loss.

Solgar abc dophilus claims to improve the large intestinal flora which assists in overall health and helps digestion. Of course even adults can benefit from such overall health. Some would argue that infants should only drink human milk and not infant formula. One reason they argue is that human milk has antibodies and other nutrients not present in commercial infant formula.

Animal milk is for animals and human milk is for humans. No one can argue with that logic. You will see rarely a commercial for infant formula. You see more these days on television about infant formula but traditionally you do not see companies promoting infant formula directly to the public.

Solgar abc dophilus is a product you can buy online but you should consult with your pediatrician first before using it with your child. Infant formula has been studied so much that there is no question that babies fed infant formula soy or cow based, grow up the same as babies on human milk.

Solgar abc dophilus does not have the hard scientific evidence to back its claims but many nutritional supplements do not have studies conclusive to their claims. But this should not prevent you from asking your doctor if Solgar abc dophilus is right for your child.
