The Britax Roundabout Car Seat is designed to suit infants in rear facing position as well as older babies up to 40 pounds in front facing position. As a parent who wants nothing less than the safest and most comfortable seat for your little one, this is a seat worth checking into. Not only does it come in a wide array of stylish fabrics including denim, but it is one of the few seats on the market today that actually goes above and beyond the legal requirements for car seat safety.
Comfort is very important for your child, but not as much as the safety that the eat provides. Your child will cry and squirm everytime they are placed in the seat if they are not comfortable. This can stress you out as well as make you reluctant to get out of the house. You probably don’t want to waste your time on a seat that is not comfortable for your baby.
There are two different kinds of foam used in the Roundabout seat. This first layer is used for extra protection in the event of an accident, and the other is specifically make to be comfortable. Another part that is used for safety and comfort is the belly pad.
In terms of safety, you simply cannot go wrong with this seat. It meets all of the federal rules for baby seat safety, and actually exceeds them in some areas. It all starts with the unique installation process, which features the LATCH method. This simply means you put it in using latches and tethers instead of a seatbelt. It will still function with regular seat belts as well, but the LATCH method is so fast that you will want to use it if possible.
The harness can be placed at three different heights because of its three point system. As your baby grows you can adjust the height to make sure that your baby is as safe as possible at all sizes. The harness system used surpasses the federal standards that are needed for carseats. It is called HUGS or harness ultra guard system.
Chosing this seat over the others available will give some great perks to the parent. First of all, you will not have to worry about any straps getting tangled or twisted which can be a huge hassel and waste of time. As your child grows you will be able to loosen the straps with the press of a button and a pull of the straps. You will save so much time putting your child in this car seat based on those two unique features.
You will no longer have to worry about diaper accidents and snack messes, because the fabric can be removed easily for cleaning.
The only real downsides are small points which are easily overcome with the extra safety and comfort features. For instance, the seatbelt can be a little rough unless you purchase your own covers to go over them. If you like to use neck pillows to go behind your baby’s head, be aware they are not going to fit with the unique shape of the Britax Roundabout Car Seat.
