While the parents may get excited for preparing their nursery for their baby, many do not think about the safety issues surrounding baby bedding. Cute comforters with matching colors will attract us apart from its bad effects. To escape from this some tips are available to know you that your baby’s cot is safe to your baby and have comfortable space with the stylish look.
Fitted Sheets and receiving blankets that are light in weight are the main things you need when picking baby bedding. Your set of baby bedding may include a cute little comforter, but your baby shouldn’t need it until close to his or her second birthday. Do not cover your child in a heavy blanket before he or she is a year old, because your child may overheat or even suffocate when covered by the blanket.
By dressing your infant in seasonally appropriate clothing, you can avoid the use of heavy blankets or your infant becoming uncomfortable while sleeping.
Crib bumpers have been connected to Sudden Infant Death Syndrome, so don’t use the bumpers that are with your crib set! If your baby is old enough to start climbing around, a crib bumper will provide him or her with a boost that he or she needs to escape the crib. Although they may be adorable, bumpers should not be used with baby girl or boys bedding sets.
When your child is ready to sleep in a crib all night, remove all of the stuffed pillows and blankets; even though they’re cute, they do pose a risk of choking. It is all right for a child to play with toys in his crib as long as someone is watching him, but when it is time for them to go to sleep all toys need to be removed.
Crib bedding is a wonderful addition to your baby’s nursery, but keep in mind that matching comforters and pillows are not safe or functional for an infant. If you do not know the answer to your question ask your pediatrician for advice, but a good rule is to minimize infant bedding.
Allowing your child to choose new pillows, sheets, and comforters for their toddler bed is an excellent way to celebrate this childhood milestone.
