For those couples who are shortly expecting the arrival of baby there are several major items that they will need to purchase before the baby arrives. Of all the items that need to be brought one of the most important and one of the most expensive is a pram or pushchair. As they soon discover there are many different kinds of prams and pushchairs to select from so finding one that is suitable can prove challenge. To help them with their decision in this article we look at the advantages of 2-in-1 pushchairs.
The main thing that parents need to be aware of when it comes to this kind of pushchair is that the main carrying part of the item through the pressing of certain buttons allows it to be transformed from a pram which a baby can lie in to a pushchair that allows them to be sat up. In most cases these come with a fabric hood and apron that can ensure that small babies are kept secure when travelling in it.
So why should any parents to be think of purchasing these types of pushchairs instead of say a traditional pram or a 3-in-1 pushchair? Below we look at just some of the advantages to be gained for parents to be from getting this type of pushchair over some of the others.
Advantage 1 – These are designed not only for use with new born babies but for children up to the age of 3 years. In most cases children once they get to the age of 3 prefer not to be strapped in to a pushchair or stroller but prefer to move around by themselves.
Advantage 2 – As with the 3-in-1 pushchairs this type allows the part in which the child is travelling to be removed completely from the chassis without too many problems.. The handles that it has on the sides then allows the parents if they wish to use it as a carrycot.
Advantage 3 – Generally during the first few weeks after their birth babies tend to spend considerable amounts of time sleeping. This pushchair has the facility to be placed in an upright or reclined position through the pressing of certain buttons. So parents can easily alter the position to one that is comfortable for the baby when sleeping and will not disturb them when they are doing it. Yet as soon as the baby is awake the parents can then put it into the upright position once more so that the baby can have a better view of things around them.
Advantage 4 – Another benefit to be had from purchasing this type of pushchair over say a 3-in-1 type is the cost. These tend to be much cheaper and you don’t have to concern yourself with as many attachments compared to the 3-in-1 kind. With that type you will find it comes with a separate car seat, carrycot and pushchair.
Advantage 5 ” Because the carrycot and the pushchair convert from one to the other this particular style of pushchair comes with the safety harness attached. So not only can it be worn by the baby when sat up and may be when they are laid down offer some additional protection. To ensure that the harness does not rub on the baby a special liner or mattress is included.
Above we have looked at a few of the advantages of 2-in-1 pushchairs in relation to other types of pushchairs, prams and strollers available. However, although these are perfect for keeping the baby or child safe when out shopping they will need to buy a good quality car seat from when the child is in a vehicle.
